If anybody is interested, I went and looked at what was available in Brock.

My conclusion was that I'm not interested in anything there, but if I was, it would be file # 09-17, as it's the only piece that I believe that I might be able to use as a building lot. It's zoned EP but there is a clearing at the south west corner that I believe would be big enough to build a house on and meet all of the setback requirements. It does however have a lot of old steel 45 gallon drums laying around. I don't know what was in them and I don't know what's under the snow, so buyer beware.

There is also some old farm implements laying around which I assume would by default become the property of the new owner, after the sale. If somebody here is the successful purchaser and wants to get rid of it, there is one piece that I'd be interested in.

The way things are going in the middle east we may have to reevaluate the worth of tax sale properties.  Latest reports are the Saudi's are sending in Tanks to Bahrain.
Those steel barrels with oil may have value yet.
 (just kidding note could have very serious contaminants)

Anybody wanna guess how much this real overnight bunkie could cost? 380sf, finished with 2 beds (or 1), 1 bath (with shower) and a kitchenette

Mine is officially a "pumphouse" if anyone asks.  Mine is below building code control size of 10 X 10 feet.   Cost me under $5,000 installed and delivered on the island.  

A couple more shots showing it under construction in winter. you can see car on the ice. Building lot turned out okay as well as you can see from photos, I have 132 feet of frontage.  

Unfortunately the minimum "cottage" size as per local building code is 800 sq. ft. so I cannot use your "camp" unless I join 2 together.  Thats the problem when you get lakefront property in the Kawarthas close to Toronto.  No midnight bunkies allowed although I don't have to worry because I can get a building permit.

$5000, 10x10? that's too much. You could have mine for almost the same price, 3 to 4 times bigger, equipped with 2 beds, 1 bath ... oh, Canada, Canada, why does everything have to be so expensive 

By the way, you could have mine whatever size you want.

No hay problema, Dave. I can take the heat. Short answers are:

a) I can provide all specs, standards met for structures, materials used. But I'm afraid individual buyer will have to check compliances with their local building codes.
b) It'll be buyer's responsibility.
c) It can be included.
d) It can be arranged, with cost of course.
e) It can be included, again, with cost.
f) I thought we Canadians were all handyman. But yes, with extra cost. If you prefer to do it yourself, which is highly recommanded, it is easy as tightening nuts and bolts.
